  1. your incessant need to rebel is sad. and, by always being "nonconformative", you are actually conforming - to the group of "nonconformists" (the people who will go to extraordinary lengths to be anti-society and anti-everything-in-it). a bit of a contradiction. of course you are going to get negative reactions when you dress all goth or emo or punk or whatever, because you look scary: having holes in your face and wearing creepy clothes is not beautiful. it has nothing to do with society's beliefs; it's not beautiful because it's unnatural. even little babies, who haven't had time to be shaped by society, cringe at the sight of people who wear creepy make-up and have a gazillion holes in their faces. they cringe (or cry) because those people look scary - not because they don't fit in with society. why do you possess the constant need to rebel? plus, you're always a know-it-all and are continuously trashing "mainstream" people - many of whom are not conforming, but simply wearing what they like: it's a different fashion; you like to wear weird black clothes and others like to wear happier clothes. leave it at that.

p.s. if you are so anti-conformity, why do you shave your legs and pluck your eyebrows? that's the symbol of conformity!

    1. I'll acknowledge that you may know me personally, but as your comment is anonymous, I'll treat you as someone who doesn't.

The reason I adopted two seperate looks instead of just one mainstream one (my original plan), is because I needed two seperate things for people to compare. I could not use my personal style, because, yes, as you say, I do shave my legs and pluck my eyebrows (even though that is fairly unrelated, but I won't go into that right now), I do wear dresses, I do delve into mainstream fashion, and I do not have "holes" in my face, nor do I believe I wear "creepy" or "weird black" clothing.

If you knew me (which I don't think you do), you wouldn't ask me why I possess the constant need to rebel, because I don't believe I do.

I am sorry that you think I am a "know-it-all", but that is your personal opinion, which you are entitled to.

This project was not a jab at mainstream people, it was merely an educational investigation, and I will acknowledge that many people do simply wear what they like. Have you ever thought that maybe that's what alternative people do too?

In conclusion, I think we have some level of misunderstanding, but if you have any further thoughts, please email me. Thank you, anonymous.
